For a long time now, employers have gotten into a great deal of trouble for firing employees for what they say on Facebook and other social media platforms—whether it was because it was communication the employer shouldn’t have been privy too, or because the speech was deemed “protected” by the NLRB.It appears an employer in New Jersey has found a way, as they fired an employee for something damaging relayed to them by the employee’s coworker “friend.”
